The Braun home currently operates a supportive 9-bed group home, with an additional 3 beds dedicated to respite care. These respite care beds provide a short-term support for individuals with disabilities when their families need a temporary break or extra help with caregiving. Respite care is also available for emergency placements, offering a safe and stable environment during times of urgent need.
What We Provide
Respite units must be approved in advance of the individual’s arrival. Referrals for respite services are usually coordinated through case management, but not always. We will always require basic information such as their IP, medication, emergency information, etc. Feel free to reach out to The Braun Home for any more questions.
The Braun Home now supports over 32 Individualized Supported Living (ISL) Homes across Fayette, Moberly, Fulton, Kirksville and Macon, Missouri – and we are continuing to grow as the need for quality care increases.
Each home is located in a quiet, well-maintained neighborhood, providing a welcoming environment where clients are encouraged to be independent, responsible members of their community. Residents are encouraged to assist with taking care of their homes, participate in community activities, and enjoy everyday experiences like shopping and attending local events.

We operate a specialized Individualized Supported Living (ISL) Home in Fulton, Missouri, dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities who are also hearing impaired. While this work presents unique challenges, it fills a critical and long-overdue need within the state of Missouri.
Our day programs offer a well-rounded, person-centered approach that gives individuals the opportunity to engage in meaningful daily activities. These programs promote personal growth, social interaction, and recreational involvement in a supportive environment. We operate four Day Programs:
Each program is tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of the individuals we serve, with the goal of helping them reach their fullest potential and lead fulfilling, independent lives. This includes active involvement in the community – whether it’s attending Chiefs games, enjoying time at the lake, or going on vacations – so that every individual has opportunities to engage, connect, and experience life beyond the home.
We provide intensive residential habilitation services tailored to individuals with complex behavioral needs. Our approach is strengthened by access to a Functional Behavioral Analyst, an on-site Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and intensive staff training, ensuring that our team is equipped to manage both behavioral challenges and medical crises effectively. The Braun Home has a strong record of standing by our clients, offering stability and continuity of care when it matters most.
